Wildlife & The Farmed Environment

Nationwide, United Kingdom

Alex’s investigation into the usage of anticoagulant rodenticides (ARs) on UK farms revealed widespread year-round AR deployment, despite environmental and ethical concerns over their usage. sankalpa, alongside FAI Farms supported the research aspects of the project, and will continue to support the application of ethical, environmental and economic sustainability principles at the wildlife-farm interface, using the ARs research work as an illustrative platform.

Looking to the future, Alex plans to combine her work on the wildlife-farm interface with her role at Wilderculture (a CIC promoting sustainable land management), merging project knowledge to enhance the interaction between farming and the natural world.
